(BROWNSVILLE) – Coming off of their most productive offensive game of the season against Edcouch-Elsa this past Friday night, Donna High head girls basketball coach Kevin Kromer was hoping that output would lead to good things on that side of the ball.
From the looks of it, that hot offense the Bravettes possessed on Friday carried over to Tuesday night against Lopez.
Donna High once again put up points in bunches as they improved to 2-1 in District 32-5A thanks to a 68-17 victory.
The Bravettes came out firing in the first half of the contest as they went into the locker room with a commanding 40-9 lead.
The second half was just as impressive as the first one as Donna High outscored Lopez 28-8.
Like the offense, the Bravettes defense was just as eye catching as they didn’t allow more than five points scored in a quarter which is something that impressed truly Kromer.
“We played great defense tonight and I feel it helped us have a solid night on offense as well,” said Kromer. “The kids were flying around all night long and were able to avoid having a little bit of a hangover after the big win over Edcouch-Elsa.”
“I am very proud of the way the kids play tonight and hopefully we can continue to play this well going forward.”
