(BROWNSVILLE) – Friday’s District 32-5A opener for Brownsville Lopez and Donna High can be summarized in one way; a tale of two halves.

The first half belonged to the Lobos as the outscored the Redskins 32-24 and went into the half with a nice little lead.

But then the Redskins came out fighting in the second half and were able to reverse the roles as they outscored Lopez 33-28.

And even though Donna High won the final two quarters, they weren’t able to secure the contest as Lopez escaped with a 60-57 victory.

Anthony Moreno was the leading scorer for Donna High as he poured in a team high 17 on the afternoon.

The Redskins look to try and capture their first district win of the season on Tuesday as they welcome in Brownsville Porter with game time set for 6 p.m.
