JM: Angel, congratulations on being named Player of the Week for Redskin Sports.us. When did you begin to play soccer?
AR: I have been playing since I was a little kid. I started playing with my friends out on random fields and from that moment on, my passion for soccer grew.
JM: What position do you usually play?
AR: Since the day that I started playing soccer, I was positioned as mid and that’s where I have stayed.
JM: Aside from soccer, do you play any other sports?
AR: I just play soccer because I really want to focus on the sport that I love.
JM: Next year will be your senior year and your last year in high school as well. What will your goals for that season be?
AR: I am really going to try my best to hopefully get a scholarship and play at the collegiate level.
JM: What college would you like to play for?
AR: I would really like to play for Wiley because I have heard so many great things about their soccer program.
JM: How do you prepare yourself before a game?
AR: Before a game, I usually talk to my teammates about our game plan.
JM: Who is one Senior on the team that has really motivated you this season?
AR: Jose Rangel, because he is a great player.
JM: What has been your most memorable moment about playing for this team?
AR: My most memorable moment would be when I made it to Varsity my freshman year. I have been playing varsity soccer ever since.
JM: Out of all the tournaments in which you have played in, which one would be your favorite?
AR: I would say the Brownsville Tournament back when I was a freshman because the weather was beautiful and we had some outstanding games.
