(HARLINGEN) – With the Golf season in full swing, Donna High’s Alexis Mendoza has really stepped up his game.
In fact, Mendoza has been climbing up the ladder in the rankings for his team as he is one of the top players on the boys’ side.
At this past weekend’s Mercedes Invitational, Mendoza was once again “The Man” as he shot a 195 total which led him to a 26th place finish in the boys’ division at Treasure Hills Golf Course.
Thanks to his placing, Mendoza was the top finisher for the Donna High boys’ team.
Two of his teammates also competed at the two-day tournament as Jonathan Del Bosque finished in 36th place with a total score of 203 while Esteban Lopez completed the two-day tournament with a score of 234 which gave him a 46th place finish.
On the girls’ side, Audrey Cantu actually had the best finish of the entire team as she placed 14th overall with a score of 199.
