(DONNA) – After Alyssa Garza graduated last year, Donna High head softball coach Adrian Lopez knew he was going to have to find a new pitcher to replace her.
Lucky for him, he didn’t need to look too far as Anaisa Orozco was the next person up to take over for Garza.
Orozco fared well in her first year as a pitcher for the Bravettes and was rewarded for her efforts be being selected as a Second Team Pitcher on the All-District team for 32-5A when the list was officially released on Monday.
Orozco wasn’t the only Donna High player that received recognition as Sierra Gaona made it as a Second Team Outfielder.
